Five participate in SC’s mission trip to Ukraine

Three Sterling College students and two SC staff member traveled to Ukraine on a mission trip from June 20 to June 30, 2005. The trip was organized by Global Infusion, a missions organization in Tampa, Florida.

Global Infusion was established in 2003 and has since been sending teams throughout the world. Team members ministered to teen and college-aged youth in Ukraine. The entire team consisted of 20 people from Sterling College, Oral Roberts University and the Tampa, Florida area.

Those comprising the SC team to Ukraine were MariaLe Dalman, Gladstone, Mo.; April Freudenberg, Madison, Neb.; Karin Lederle, Sterling, Kansas; Jennifer Baranowski, Sterling College Resident Director and Ben Pierce, Sterling College Resident Director. The trip was led by Jonathan Haward, president of Global Infusion.

In preparation for the trip the team raised funds for their trip through fundraising letters and various work projects and met once a week as a team to prepare to enter a new culture and pray for the people in Ukraine.
