Sterling Debate & Forensics

Who Are We?
Sterling Debate & Forensics Team is a competitive organization at Sterling College. Students actively compete in intercollegiate speech and debate tournaments both regionally and nationally. We are members of Pi Kappa Delta (PKD), the National Forensic Association (NFA), the American Forensic Association (AFA) and the National Parliamentary Debate Association (NPDA), competing in each of the associations national tournaments. The Sterling Team competes in debate; parliamentary and Lincoln-Douglas style as well as in individual events; comprised of three main classifications, public address, limited preparation and oral interpretation. We welcome any Sterling student interested in joining the team as long as you are willing to work to improve both your skills and the team's competitive standing. We remain committed to educating Sterling students in the rhetorical & literary arts while maintaining a competitive venue for practicing critical thinking!
